1. What this policy covers
Zizr Run is a personalized running coaching service operated by Zizr AS.
This page explains how Zizr Run handles account data, training data, Garmin-derived activity data, AI-assisted coaching and user-facing equipment guidance.
This page supplements the general Zizr privacy policy for the specific Zizr Run product and should be read as a product-specific privacy and AI statement for runners using Zizr Run.
2. What Zizr Run is
Zizr originally built personalization technology for fashion e-commerce, helping users receive more accurate product-level size and fit recommendations.
That work focused on individual variation, user-specific data and reducing mismatch between people and products.
Zizr Run applies the same personalization philosophy to endurance sports.
Instead of helping a person find the right clothing size, Zizr Run helps a runner understand their training, follow a suitable plan and receive more relevant guidance based on their own goals, activity history and progression over time.
Zizr Run is the first product in a broader endurance-sports direction. Future products may include Zizr Bike and Zizr Swim.
3. What Zizr Run does
Zizr Run may help runners with:
- personal training plans
- workout analysis
- comparison between planned and completed sessions
- pace, heart-rate and lap-based training feedback
- day-to-day coaching guidance
- training progression over time
- user-facing guidance about suitable running shoes and training equipment
The purpose of Zizr Run is to provide a more personal training experience.
Zizr Run is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
4. Garmin data and AI policy
Zizr Run may allow users to connect their Garmin account in order to import completed training activities into Zizr Run.
Zizr Run will only access Garmin-derived data after the user has actively connected Garmin and granted the required permissions.
Garmin-derived data is used only to provide the user’s personal Zizr Run experience, including workout analysis, comparison against planned sessions, coaching guidance, training progression and user-facing guidance about suitable running shoes or training equipment.
Zizr Run may use AI-assisted systems to generate coaching explanations and training feedback for the individual user.
Garmin-derived data is not used to train external foundation AI models, sold to advertisers, shared with advertising platforms, or made available to equipment brands or retailers for targeting.
Users may disconnect Garmin at any time.
When Garmin is disconnected, Zizr Run will stop importing new Garmin data.
Users may also request deletion of Garmin-derived data stored in Zizr Run, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
5. Garmin-derived data Zizr Run may process
Depending on the Garmin API permissions approved and enabled, Zizr Run may receive and process activity data such as:
- activity type
- activity date and start time
- distance and duration
- pace, speed, laps and splits
- heart-rate data where available
- route summary data where available
- activity files where available through approved Garmin APIs
- training history imported by the user or connected by the user
Zizr Run will not request Garmin permissions that are unrelated to the product purpose described on this page.
6. How Garmin-derived data is used
Zizr Run may use Garmin-derived activity data for examples such as:
- importing completed runs automatically instead of requiring manual file upload
- analyzing whether a workout was completed according to the planned session
- comparing target pace, actual pace, laps, splits and heart-rate response
- helping the user understand whether a session was too easy, appropriate or too hard
- supporting coaching continuity across recent training, upcoming sessions and long-term goals
- improving user-facing guidance about suitable running shoes or training equipment as part of the coaching experience
7. Equipment recommendations
Zizr Run may provide user-facing guidance about suitable running shoes and training equipment as part of the coaching experience.
These recommendations are intended to help users choose equipment that is more relevant to their training needs, activity patterns and preferences.
Examples include:
- a runner with high weekly mileage may need different shoe guidance than a beginner runner
- a runner preparing for a marathon may need different equipment guidance than a runner training for shorter distances
- a runner who often trains on roads may need different shoe considerations than a runner who mostly runs on trails
- activity history may help separate needs for easy runs, intervals, long runs and race day
Garmin-derived data is not sold to advertisers, shared with equipment brands or retailers for targeting, or used to build advertising audiences.
8. AI-assisted coaching
Zizr Run may use AI-assisted systems to help generate coaching guidance, workout analysis and training explanations.
AI is used to support the user experience, not to replace user control or professional judgment.
Zizr Run may use AI-assisted features for examples such as:
- explaining a completed workout in plain language
- summarizing training trends
- helping the user understand pace, lap and heart-rate patterns
- identifying whether a planned workout was executed as intended
- suggesting how the user should approach upcoming training
Garmin-derived data is not used to train external foundation AI models or create datasets for resale.
Where AI-assisted processing is used, the purpose is limited to providing the individual user with a personal Zizr Run coaching experience.
9. Data sharing
Zizr Run does not:
- sell Garmin-derived data
- share Garmin-derived data with advertisers
- use Garmin-derived data for advertising targeting
- make Garmin-derived data available to external platforms for resale
- use Garmin-derived data to train external foundation AI models
- share Garmin-derived data with equipment brands or retailers for targeting
Zizr Run may use trusted service providers for hosting, security, analytics, infrastructure and product operation, but only as necessary to provide, secure and maintain the Zizr Run service.
10. User control

Users may disconnect Garmin integration at any time.
When a user disconnects Garmin, Zizr Run will stop importing new Garmin data.
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of Garmin-derived data stored in Zizr Run, subject to legal and operational requirements.
